Impact Protection

Overview

In recent years, the public is becoming more aware of the risks of repeated head trauma, something that occurs frequently in some sports. To protect athletes that play these sports, such as football, new technology is needed to mitigate injury from repeated impacts. Through this project, my lab conducts experimental testing and provides technical advising for an impact protection startup. Our work has gone into multiple products spanning helmets/pads for various sports, military helmets, and drone crash mitigation concepts. Data/results not available for public release.
